Zoro Tools has a simple mission—
We help small business stay competitive!

We do this by offering more than 400,000 great products at super low prices. Small businesses have historically been at a disadvantage to larger companies who can buy stuff at lower prices because of their size. We want to change that!

Zoro Tools has most of the products that the “big guys” have and we offer every single one of them at an everyday low price. There are no complex discount structures to understand and no hidden costs. Every customer pays the same low price for an item—whether you want to buy one or one thousand!

We have headquarters in Buffalo Grove, IL, though we are petitioning the town to rename itself Fox Grove. (We’re coming for you, Buffaloes.) And we ship orders out of six warehouses strategically located across the country. More specifically, they are in California (one in sunny SoCal and one in breezy NorCal), Illinois (the Land of Lincoln), South Carolina (the Land of Mustard BBQ sauce), Texas (the warehouse there is bigger), and Wisconsin (the Land of the Fonzie Statue).

Zoro Tools has designed a unique and intuitive product search feature.

All you need to do is select the product attribute values you are looking for within your search results (size, color, material, etc.) by clicking on the value you want, and the products that meet the criteria you have chosen are immediately shown in a table right below where you made your selections.

The more specific you are in your attribute selections—the narrower the search results will become in your very own “custom made” product table!

If you prefer to search using manufacturer model #, a competitor’s part number or a Zoro Tools part number, just enter that number into the “search bar” at the top of the page, you will immediately be taken to a page that contains the item.

Q. What are my payment options?

A. Zoro Tools accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PayPal is available at Cart Checkout.

Q. How do I place an order?

A. To place an order, go to the product table that contains what you are looking for and narrow down your choices by picking the features that are important. Once you are down to the product(s) that you want, scroll down to the table and enter the number that you want to buy. Click the Add to Cart button.

Continue shopping in this manner until you have everything that you need. When you are ready to checkout, click the  Cart button at the top of the website.

We will then ask you either register (New Users) or login. Once you have completed this short process, you'll be back on the website home page again. Click the cart button and you will enter the checkout sequence. Follow the sequence – the buttons will get you there. Once you see the Thank You for Your Order page, your order is with us and will be on its way to you very shortly.

For most customers, you will receive your order within a couple of days. If you have any problems or issues, feel free to call us at 855‑BUY‑ZORO (855‑289‑9676).

Q. Do I have to have an account to order from you?

A. You do not need an account to order from us. You do need to register which is really easy. We just need your email address and password and you are on your way to ordering from Zoro Tools.

Q. What is your shipping policy?

A. A $5 shipping and handling fee is charged on orders totaling less than $50 before tax and shipped to one address within the continental United States. No shipping and handling is charged to customers for standard ground delivery on orders of $50 or more before tax.

Shipping Policy Exceptions: Not all products qualify for the above Shipping Policy. Additionally, standard shipping rates will apply for all orders to Alaska and Hawaii. Any charges incurred for hazardous materials or other special handling by the carrier must be paid by the customer. Fuel surcharges may be applied.

Zoro Tools only accepts orders for shipments within the continental US, Alaska and Hawaii. Orders to international destinations will not be processed. Zoro Tools does not ship to PO Box addresses.

UPS is our primary parcel carrier and we use a variety of carriers for LTL shipments.

Expedited Shipping Rules: To qualify for expedited shipping Zoro Tools must receive your order before 3:00PM CST Monday–Friday; all orders must weigh less than 150 lbs, and not contain any hazardous materials. Expedited orders only ship on business days; any orders placed on Satudays/Sundays/Holidays will be processed on the next business day. If you have any questions please call our customer service department at 855‑BUY-ZORO (855-289-9676).

Q. Where do you ship from?

A. We ship orders out of six warehouses strategically located across the country. Q. How do I use my tax exempt status?*

A. Exempt purchasers need to provide us with a copy of a state resale certificate, exemption certificate or other acceptable proof of your exempt status for the state where the items will be shipped.

The documentation submitted should include name of the organization that purchased the items.

How to submit this information

First, place your order through our website or with one of our customer service agents. After you’ve received your shipment confirmation, please submit the necessary information by fax in order to receive a refund of any sales tax. Our NEW fax number is 855‑FAX‑ZORO (855‑329‑9676).

Alternatively, you can scan your certificate and send it to us at askZoro@zorotools.com.

In either case, please include the following:

  • Your order number
  • E-mail address
  • Acceptable proof of your exempt status (as outlined above)
  • The name of the organization that purchased the items
  • Mark your fax “Attn: Zoro Tools Tax Exempt” or your email “Tax Exemption Request”

*You will need to contact us after placing each order to ensure you are refunded the tax on your purchase.

Q. What is your Return/Exchange policy?

A. If you are not satisfied for any reason products may be returned within 30 days of shipment for a full credit or exchange (provided the product is undamaged). Return documentation should clearly specify credit or exchange.

Returned items must be in the original packaging.

All returns must include a return authorization (RA) number that can be obtained by contacting our Customer Service Department at 855‑BUY‑ZORO (855‑289‑9676). Our customer service hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CST).

Include a copy of the original order confirmation or packing slip with your RA paperwork as proof of purchase.

Returns received at Zoro Tools without a RA number may be assessed a 15% restocking (processing) fee that will be deducted from any
credit due.

Q. How do I make a return?

A. Just pick up the phone and call our Customer Service Department at 855‑BUY‑ZORO (855‑289‑9676). Our customer service hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CST).

They will walk you through the process and provide a shipping label for the return.

Q. When will my order be billed to my credit card?

A. Items are billed to your credit card when they are shipped. In the rare occasion that some of your items ordered are not in stock, we will only bill you for the part of the order that we can ship. In these cases, you will see multiple charges as the items are shipped to you as soon as they arrive in our warehouse.

Q. What do I do if I receive damaged goods?

A. We would rather this never happened, but if it does, call our Customer Service Department at 855‑BUY‑ZORO (855‑289‑9676). We will arrange for a full refund or exchange and give you instructions for returning the item.

Q. How do I get taken off your mailing list?

A. Recipients of our e-mail marketing messages can unsubscribe from receiving promotional e-mail by using the unsubscribe instructions located at the bottom of the message or by sending a request with “unsubscribe” in the subject line to askZoro@zorotools.com.

Q. How do I enter a PO Number?

A. When you are going through the Checkout process, you will come to a screen that is labeled Review and Submit Your Order. In the middle of that screen, you’ll see a boxed field with “Purchase Order # (for customer reference)” before it. This field is there for your convenience. Enter whatever information you need to reference your PO System. Whatever you enter into this field will show up in your confirmation, invoice and packing list. Hopefully, this will help you remember what you ordered!

Q. Is there a retail store I can go to?

A. Sorry, no. You can only reach Zoro Tools on the internet or by calling us at 855‑BUY‑ZORO (855‑289‑9676).

Q. What is the warranty on your products?

A. Zoro Tools warrants any product purchased for use in business or resale against defects in workmanship or materials under normal use for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Any product determined by Zoro Tools to be defective in material or workmanship and returned to Zoro Tools shipping costs prepaid will, at Zoro Tools' option, be repaired or replaced or the purchase price refunded.

Q. How many days does it take to receive my item(s)?

A. Your item(s) will generally ship within one business day. Depending on your location, you should receive your item within
3–7 business days.

Q. What if the picture does not match the product attributes?

A. While we try our best, on occasion the manufacturer supplied images may differ slightly from the product listing. Please refer to the product attributes for the most accurate information for these products. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us.
